TRIO8 TIMELINE

note: the information you receive in the game is NOT chronological at all. You can play all routes in any order, and every route uncovers relevant messages from both Grapeline, Fantome, or other files to discover. However, since most everything is attached to a date, it's not too difficult to put a timeline together.

2012
• 08/08/2012 After finding each other on HacknCarve, a group chat was created on Grapevine (basically, this world’s equivalent of Skype).

• HnC is what we can assume (based on context) a horror media fanforum that Trio8 all used when they were kids.
• Slushie and Emci are both 12, but Emci turns 13 just a month after their gc is made. Kitty is 13.
• SPECULATION: It’s possible Cerebral Tekton existed by this point, as we know Kitty wrote original fiction in HacknCarve in 2012, which Slushie admired. We also know that in current time one of her original writing projects is considered to be relevant to the case by X5. Given his involvement with Cerebral Tekton, it can be assumed said project was an early concept of Cerebral Tekton.

• Slushie lives overseas in Asia, and both Kitty and Emci stay up late to chat often.
• It's not directly confirmed where exactly Slushie lived as a child, but in 2012 it's implied they recently moved out of China. Based on the time difference between Kitty/Emci and Slushie, as well as a few scattered details mentioned on Grapeline (such as the Chinese New Years conversation), we can confidently assume he lives in Japan during this time.

• Earliest mentions of Garden of Spiders
• not directly, but in 10/11/2015 it’s confirmed one of their first conversations, which would’ve been in 2012, included Kitty drawing Spiderface for Slushie. Art of the three of them as the ages they met that Kitty made and is found on her desktop, labels them as “Gardens fans” )

• 09/09/2012 first mention of The Ecdysis Archives

• 09/12/2012 first mention of Drowned Ophelia

• since Kitty introduced Ophelia to them both it can be assumed Kitty knew of her from much earlier).
• They do a lot of writing and drawing together, bonding over the fictional characters they love.
• 11/28/2012 ForenZX Case (a digital evidence management system used by law enforcement, commonly abbreviated as ZX) is first mentioned in Grapeline, when 12  year old Slushie was traumatized by seeing photos of a skinned woman on it.

• Slushie’s dad uses it and oftentimes forgets to close it on the family computer, implying he used to work in law enforcement before he moved to Asia.

2013
• 02/2013 Slushie mails a package to Emci including asian candies, a copy of his Poe book, and gloves to keep Emci warm >w< <3
• We know in 2013 the Ecdysis’ web series story is still actively developing with new videos.
• 2/09/2013 Since his mother is unable to take him, baby Slushie plans to attend the New Year Festival with someone who will be looking after him. At the time of this conversation, he doesn’t yet know who that person will be.
• SPECULATION: Based on circumstantial evidence, it is likely that this person was X5, implying he would have been a teenager or young adult when Slushie was 12.
• 07/2013 Kitty’s parents send her away to a summer camp that she hates. She writes only to Emci since Slushie lives too far away
• Her letter to Emci is seen in Fiona’s desktop route.
• 07/13/2013 Slushie asks Emci to call even if Kitty isn’t around, an important development to their friendship.
• 10/21/2013 Earliest mention of Mikey.

2014
• 06/13/2014 Earliest mention of Anita.

• It's also the first time the idea of making a game together is brought up.

2015
• 03/28/2015 Earliest mention of Meaty.

• We can assume she was the last horror character they got into, as the last used PFP for their group chat in Grapeline was Meaty.

2016
• 06/03/2016 Slushie finishes developing Fantome and they begin using it over Grapeline.

• It is canonically meant to be a copy of Discord, as Discord exists in their universe, but exclusively made for them and with a focus on safety. This move might've been partly motivated by the work they would soon get into, but it's unknown how early on it was planned. It's more proof of their obsession for one another than anything.
• Multiple references made of how the app was made only for the three of them, as their personal messaging program
• On that same day, Slushie works on creating chat exports after Kitty demands it.
• 06/03/2016 is also when Kitty and Emci call Slushie a princess for the first time, which might mean their roles are already forming.

• Back then, Slushie just thought they were making fun of him.
• Note about him being a “princess” here, later chats reference that Slushie transitioned from a princess to a queen five years later on his 21st birthday, in 2021. However, they did also call her Queen prior to that date, but it seems the princess title was retired after that birthday.

2018
• Slushie is 18
• His family has seemingly now moved to the US, where his father is originally from.
• Emci and Kitty are 19.
• 03/31/2018 Slushie brings up the fact that Kitty and Emci are both very similar and enjoy the idea of causing pain, while Slushie is not like them.

• It’s obvious both Kitty and Emci are on the same page about this conversation, and they love how Slushie is different from them. This is one of the strongest foundations for their future romantic relationship, and it gives the impression that Kitty and Emci already knew they were planning to pursue it.
• 09/20/2018 Kitty and Emci dm each other excited for their future meetup, and mention how they secretly already know what Slushie looks like despite him never sharing photos. It’s likely an early example of Emci’s hacking ways.

• They meet in person for the first time, on September 29, 2018
• From meeting, something starts growing more rapidly. It’s blatantly clear from this point on that they all have feelings for each other.
• ARG information: the websites Trio8 developed for UNTITLED.exe were started in 2018.

2019
• Emci and Kitty are 20.
• Slushie is 19.
• The ARG implies that this is the year when they started dating (from Tinsoldat, AND Kitty’s diary)
• Both Kitty and Emci flirt with Slushie across HATEMAIL (a feature on Tinsoldat that was implemented in its 2019 update, where anonymous users can submit drawn hatemail messages to Slushie to respond to), with Emci already calling him “baby” in one of them. HATEMAILS are undated so we only know they’re from 2019 as of now.
• On 01/03/2019 both Slushie and Kitty reference changes they’re undergoing, Slushie posting on Tinsoldat and Kitty posting that she’s listening to “Name of the Game” by Abba in her diary.

• The need to have their future together accelerates by now, it’s a topic of many conversations.
• As of 04/14/2019, their roles as King, Queen, and Joker are already established.

• 05/10/2019 is the first mention of Tekton in Fantome (that we know of)

• As of 2019, it’s confirmed that Z6 is aware of TRIO8 and is already creeping Slushie out
• Through Tinsoldat’s hatemail there are submissions in Z6’s iconic blue color that prompt Slushie and in one case even Emci to respond with hostility.

2020
• Emci and Kitty are 21
• Slushie is 20
• VERY OBVIOUSLY DATING BY NOW.
• Pet names used, ex. "Baby" for Slushie, “muppet” for Emci, and “nibs” for Kitty
• 09/09/2020 Emci’s 21st birthday, Slushie has a dream that he's alone in their home as it catches on fire. Emci considers that to be a failure on his and Kitty’s part.
• A lot of Cerebral Tekton work happens here, and it’s also the year it is first directly mentioned on text.
• Possibly the start of trio0S, since in early 2021 it was getting an update.
• They all are already using DarkFox. Very deep into their illegal vigilante work by now.
• Emci is using xo.dos much much more, going as far as to directly message people on it to bait them into admitting to wrongdoings and reveal personal information, with the purpose of targeting them.
• Emci also exposes Slushie to violence much much more as well, which Slushie openly struggles with handling.
• By now, their Tekton roles are established and Slushie is trained for the writer role.
• 10/13/2020 Trio8 experience a special night together, heavily implied to be through Cerebral Tekton.

• The details of it are unknown, but we know it was scary for Slushie despite also feeling it was special and passionate. It clearly brought them closer together and was considered positive proof of their abilities.

• 12/13/2020 The dialer is set up, which they use for Illegal Activities.

• They complain about how old people use outdated technology, as it seems the Dialer’s function was to piggyback off of police stations.
• 12/21/2020 Slushie hacks into ZX, and helps Emci and Kitty use it as well.
• ZX being short for ForenzxCase, an application built allegedly for detectives and law enforcement to submit evidence and personal notes on cases they’re assigned to. When Slushie was 12 he references knowing of the app because his father used to have access to it, but it seems that by that point he was no longer meant to (especially as the application is based in the US, and they had presumably been living in Japan at the time.) 

2021
• Slushie is 21
• Emci and Kitty are 22
• The alleged killings might’ve began around here
• All three use TriOS exclusively
• They spend a week together to celebrate Slushie’s 21st birthday in the last week of March!

• Slushie is working at a library, and Kitty is working at an animal shelter. Emci has no mention of any job (it's assumed he does art commissions)
• 02/02/2021 Trio8 are well aware that Z6 is stalking them, but I won't say more on this because its DARKFOX SPOILERSSSS see it in the spoiler timeline!!!! there's alot of spoilers that happen on this date that I sadly had to remove for the darkfox/ending 7 spoiler-free timeline. Like a LOT

• The conversation points towards Kitty and Emci planning to do it to Slushie, which he pretends not to be aware of. This shows another layer of Tekton regarding the freedom to let out their violent displays of love all three of them seek out.
• 03/22/2021 DARKFOX TEKTON SPOILERS GO HEREEEEEEEEEEEE AND ITS GOOD STUFF

• 07/02/2021 Slushie begins to be keylogged by Emci, with Kitty’s knowledge and approval.

• Anita references this in the game and talks about how Emci does it because he knows best. Like him, she’s overprotective and takes control of others because of it.
• As abusive as this might seem out of context, because of their established relationship and Slushie’s trust that Emci knows best, this kind of behavior makes sense for them. It’s the basis of their dynamic, and one both parties willingly agree with.
• 09/13/2021 Aaron Calloway is found dead, the same way Trio8 wrote for him to die. This appears to be their first successful murder.

2022
the break
• Slushie is 22
• Kitty and Emci are 23
• Early in the year, Emci entirely pulls away from Kitty and Slushie, seemingly without explanation and completely out of nowhere. Missed events, no longer logging in at all, no longer communicating or calling. Even Kitty visiting in person doesn't work.
• 02/21/2022 HUGE DARKFOX SPOILERRRRR ALL REMOVED

• 05/05/2022 MORE DAKFOX SPOILERS.

• 08/08/2022 Slushie messages Emci for what appears to be the last time before the breakup. It’s not good.

• 09/09/2022 - The breakup. Slushie sends Emci the messages about wanting to kill the "us" in his head.

• Emci exports his messages despite not replying (as seen on Ophelia’s route).

• Slushie likely breaks up with Kitty as well at this moment [Sticky notes on Kitty’s desktop in final act imply it, as well as her diary entry from the ARG, the day after the fact]

• 12/20/2022 Kitty sort of “breaks up” with Emci through email, also implying she already lost Slushie too. Found in Billie’s desktop route.
• This seems more like an attempt to snap him out of his state than a genuine break up, based on further context.
• 12/31/2022 Slushie deletes Tinsoldat (his personal website. It is directly mentioned in-game by Z6), a fact which we know thanks to Kitty’s diary in the ARG, as well as it being implied in-game by Z6 that Emci would have the last version of the website before its deletion. We also see a screenshot of Slushie’s last post after the LOVE ending.
• This means despite the “breakup” and Emci’s state, he was still actively keeping track of Kitty and Slushie. That last post also implies Slushie has not moved on, and the reason he’s deleting his online presence is to not give himself the option to return to them.

2023
the incident
• Slushie is 23
• Emci and Kitty are 24
• 01/02/23 Kitty posts about Slushie's mom’s passing on her Diary (ARG), and wishes that she could comfort Slushie about it.

• They have not spoken for a year, and Kitty has very clearly not moved on.
• This is most directly seen in the ARG, but there's a lot of things in-game as well.
• Slushie apparently had a ticket of some kind that makes it confusing he would choose to kill Kitty right then, but we know nothing else about it.
• This is mentioned by a detective reviewing the case, as seen in the end of Spiderface’s route.
• At some point around here, Kitty writes the diary entry that we see in-game and know as love.html, but it has no written date. On it, she speaks directly to Emci as she knows even now he still keeps track of them both. She threatens to act by herself in order to have her family together again, if Emci won't do his part of the job.
• Her belief that Emci still cares and keeps track of them is confirmed to be true by Emci having that entry saved on his computer (as well as Slushie’s last message on Tinsoldat), so his withdrawal was not from apathy.
• 08/05/2023 [DARKFOX SPOILERSSS SEE IN THE SPOILER TIMELINE].

• On this same date, we see through the ARG that Kitty also built a new altar, and wrote on her diary “you already know i have always been batshit fucking crazy”.
• 08/08/2023 - The murder. Andrew Tagliere kills Catherine Wright, in a manner mirroring his own writing based on Spiderface.
• Slushie also dies on this day.
• ARG: October 2023, the Restoration Team website is up. They first began speaking on the server on 11/06/2023, but were very quiet for the first years. Their work had barely started.

2024
• 03/13/2024 Z6 messages Emci through his old Grapeline account, which implies he’s already involved with the Restoration Team.

• Grapeline is the chat platform TRIO8 used before moving to Fantome in 2016, so it’d been 8 years without use. Just to emphasize the weirdness of Z6’s message.
• Given Z6’s message to Emci, we know the events of Module 1.0 take place after 03/13/2024, but before 02/10/2026 (I explain in the 2026 section)
From this point on, all the information is from the ARG unless directly specified otherwise.

2025
• Starting on 06/14/2025, we begin to get a lot more messages from the Restoration Team, with one distinctive voice to start.
• 08/01/25, the RT member we now know as “X5” speaks for the first time. He is so cute. This is the first time RT sounds significantly different, making server members realize RT isn’t just a big faceless “company”
• They’ve never been a company, RT is clearly a volunteer dedicated cause from the team member. Early on, however, players spoke of RT as if they were a company, joking about interns being taken out back and shot, etc.
• 08/04/2025 is the Mikey incident!!! Need to explain this :p 
• A spam account joins the RT server, no pfp and just nonsense keysmash as the display name, and the username “paradiseiscalling.”
• Paradiseiscalling joins an active VC and begins to spam the “Join me in paradise” Sticker
• RT reveals they can’t ban the account and the account begins to respond back taunting, RT notably loses their composure for once
• Paradiseiscalling suddenly gets mod/admin permissions and posts in RT’s announcements channel, it’s very clear by now this is Mikey (and the mod role given is the mod Mikey role)

• The RT member speaking has her name revealed as Stefania
• Mikey makes a lot of implications about Stefania’s life we can assume no one else would have knowledge of, which seems to trigger her emotional outburst.

• Notably, as a strong skeptic she blames these events on who she calls a “rotten seed”, possibly referencing Z6 as especially at the time they did not get along.

• It’s very clearly it isn’t Z6 but is actually Mikey. [SPOILERS WERE DELETED FROM HERE OOPS.
• 09/09/2025 A third member can be identified speaking for the first time.

• Notably, this is Emci’s 26th birthday
• In-game, it is revealed he goes by Z6 within the Restoration Team. This is the identity behind the person who messages Emci through the Dialer.

2026
• 01/27/2026 Stefania is sick </3 it might not be very relevant but X5 did say these ominous comments:

• 02/16/2026 X5 seems to be celebrating Lunar New Year, implying he might be Chinese.
• This is of note given the theory that he’s related to Slushie, which is explained in the next tab.

• 03/31/2026  Meaty makes contact with X5, through her recently updated website. 
• Meaty had to have known X5 would be capable of putting Slushie’s outfit together, and see the /restoration page as a result.

• Oneway.exe’s lore trailer further confirmed that she’s speaking to X5, as a screenshot of that page appears on his section and over his image.
• 04/01/2026 X5 leaves this comment on the code of Meaty’s Avatar Maker

• 04/14/2026 X5 notices new images are being added to Tinsoldat, when that shouldn’t be possible. He also possibly notices that Z6 had sent Slushie messages through the HATEMAIL years before anything happened. 
• 04/15/2025 X5 leaves this comment on Tinsoldat’s HATEMAIL, and codes a way to identify new anomalies

• 05/10/2026 The codename “X5” is pointed out, which S4 allows us to use in RT-general. Also, [BEST THING EVER HAPPENED HERE BUT I HAD TO REMOVE DUE TO SPOILERS]:

• 07/01/2026 strange avatar decorations are added to the Restoration Team wishlist, which we know was at first made by X5. He clearly has a taste for cute things, very unlike the new additions. When questioned about them he had no idea what they even were.

Notably, these decorations are titled “Always Watching” and all have to do with eyes– Mikey’s most recognizable feature.

• 08/08/2026 THE RELEASE OF MYTEKTON. MyTekton is a free-to-use platform that allows anyone to create their own website, referred to in-universe as “Homes.” Canonically, however, the platform was created by TRIO8 and now features a Restoration Team banner stating that it was restored by them. The platform also contains TRIO8’s own Home, with individual rooms dedicated to introducing each of its members.
Several other accounts from MyTekton’s original period of activity can also still be found. Most notably, one account uses a raccoon-themed aesthetic, showcases a lot of Trio8 references, and features artwork signed “ZY.” All of those things heavily imply that it belonged to Z6, who we already know was stalking TRIO8 during this period.

• 08/09/2026 A few server members reached out to the Restoration Team to ask about MyTekton. The active RT member at the time, Z6, initially seemed to have no idea what they were talking about. However, after being told that MyTekton had been restored, Z6 abruptly left the conversation. After a short wait, S4 took over.
S4’s responses suggested that she had not expected MyTekton to go live when it did. This raises the possibility that the platform’s sudden release was not part of the Restoration Team’s original plans, and that someone or something else manipulated or triggered its unexpected return.

UNDATED (but definitely after 2023 :p)
• At the end of the Ruin ending, we see screenshots from two different Restoration Team Discord conversations, one between S4 and X5, and one with S4, X5, and Z6.

        - We can assume the S4 and X5 convo takes place within the #no-pests Discord channel we know they have thanks to the X5 Mikey collage.

• We can reasonably assume the S4/X5 conversation takes place first. In that conversation, S4’s profile picture is a statue of Joan of Arc, while in the following conversation it has changed to a bear, likely doodled by X5. It seems more likely that she switched to using X5’s drawing than that she later changed away from it.
• This conversation demonstrates X5’s unusually deep emotional understanding of Slushie, as well as knowledge he realistically should have no way of possessing without Cerebral Tekton.
• The DOLLHOUSE dialogue in the Final Act implies that there was something else inside Slushie’s bag that “doesn’t exist”. However, law enforcement explicitly states that nothing else was found inside the bag, suggesting that whatever "doesn’t exist" is likely a product of Cerebral. Yet, X5 somehow knows about there being something else in the bag.

• We know that at the least, this conversation takes place before [SPOILERS WOOPS]
• In this conversation, S4 lets it be known she’s aware that Z6 knew of TRIO8 prior to the murders. She implies it was years before, too. Hi bbg
• Worth noting, the Restoration Team has this to say about any RT member having personal connections to Trio8

• In this conversation, it’s clear all three RT members know that Trio8 were dating, but it’s not a fact publicly discussed.

• We can assume X5 doodled the art because it makes the most sense for S4 to use it that way, given he’s known as her weakness and he pushes her to accept his cute tastes. This is also an example of another one of his doodles:
